The Techout celebrates being a Mobile Industry Awards finalist for a second year!

Wow, we are so thrilled to have been shortlisted as finalist in the highly respected national Mobile Industry Awards for a second year in a row – and we are spreading the joy to our customers by giving you a great discount offer.

We’re all stoked to have been ranked among the best in the country after being chosen as a finalist for three categories at the Mobile Industry Awards.

Our small but brilliant team at The Techout is once again going head-to-head against industry giants such as Samsung, musicMagpie and EE after being selected to represent North Devon in the Retailer of the Year, Best Repair Service and Best Recycling Service categories.

Last year in our first ever MIA entry we were shortlisted for four MIA awards, a huge achievement in itself, but unfortunately we didn’t win on the night.

We’ll be hunting out our tuxedos and ball gowns to attend the lavish ceremony to reveal the winners at London’s swish Royal Lancaster Hotel on September 21.

As you probably know, The Techout gained a good reputation locally after starting up during the first Covid lockdown, operating remotely until restrictions allowed our founders Troy Staddon and Chaz Jenkins to open their first store at Queen Street in Barnstaple a year later.

The current year has been a hectic one for us, after we opened our second store on the square in Braunton this Easter, to expand our popular sales and repair service to cover a gap for customers in the northern coastal areas of the district.

The MIA are one of the top industry awards in the UK and we’re mega excited to have earned a finalist spot in all three categories we have entered, so really hope this will be our year. To win would be amazing and would be the icing on the cake to cap a very busy year.

Just one of these awards would be a huge thank you to our great staff and you, our awesome customers, who have been with us on this amazing journey so far.

When we were shortlisted last year, that was amazing, but it was our debut entry and we didn’t know what reaction we would get from the judges this time around.

Our business model hasn’t changed – we still focus on providing top customer service and a very high standard of repairs, so it’s fantastic the judges have recognised that and want to see us at the awards again.
