Apple iCloud Removal from Device
If you'd like to return any Apple products under our 12 month warranty or because you've changed your mind, you'll need to remove your iCloud account before sending it back.
Removing your iCloud account is easy and can be done directly from your device.
Below are some instructions on how to remove your iCloud account directly from the device you wish to return:
iPhone
If you're using iOS version 10.3 or later:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on [your name]
3. Scroll down and tap Sign Out
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Tap Turn Off
If you're using iOS version 10.2 or earlier:
1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Sign Out
2. Tap Sign Out again
3. Then tap Delete from [My device]
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Next go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Sign Out
iPad
If you're using iOS version 10.3 or later:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap [your name]
3. Scroll down and tap Sign Out
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Go back to Settings
6. Tap General
7. Near the bottom, tap Reset
8. Tap Erase All Content and Settings
9. Enter your Apple ID password to confirm the changes
If you're using iOS version 10.2 or earlier:
1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Sign Out
2. Tap Sign Out again
3. Then tap Delete from [My device]
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Next go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Sign Out
6. Go back to Settings and tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
7. Enter your Apple ID password to confirm the changes
Apple Watch
1. Hold your Apple Watch and iPhone close together
2. Open the Watch app on your phone and tap My Watch
3. Tap Apple Watch and select Unpair Apple Watch
4. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted
5. Tap again to confirm the changes
Note: When you unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone, it will try to create a backup of your watch. If you were to get a new Apple Watch, you can use the backup to pick up where you left off.
It's important to remember to remove your iCloud account before returning your device as we can't process returns that are still locked to an iCloud account. If you’re unable to remove the iCloud account, please get in touch and we can help with remote removal.
